Summer 2026 Update:
No Swim Lessons This Year
I want to share an update with my Sea Otter Swim Academy families. I was recently accepted into Paramedic school, and I am incredibly excited and proud to take this next step in advancing my career in Emergency Medical Services.
Because Paramedic school is an intensive, full-time program, I will not have the availability to offer swim lessons during the 2026 summer swim season.
Teaching swim lessons and helping children build confidence and safety in the water has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I am so grateful for the wonderful families who have trusted me with their children. While I will truly miss being in the water with our swimmers this summer, I know that the advanced medical knowledge and clinical skills I gain through paramedic school will ultimately make me an even stronger instructor and water safety educator.
My plan is to return to teaching lessons in Summer 2027 after completing the program. In the meantime, I am happy to provide referrals to other trusted swim instructors and I am always available if families have questions or need help troubleshooting any aquatic or water safety concerns.
Thank you so much for being part of the Sea Otter Swim Academy community. Your support means the world to me, and I look forward to seeing many of you again in the future.

COME ON IN, THE WATER'S FINE Y'ALL!
Hi, I'm Audrey
I often tell people that while I’m good at many things, the one thing I’m great at is working with pools. For the past 15 years, I’ve immersed myself in all aspects of the aquatics world—from coaching summer league swim teams and maintaining pools, to managing a swim school and everything in between. This industry isn’t just my career—it’s my second home.
Through the years, I’ve seen firsthand the joy and confidence that swimming can bring. But beyond the fun, swimming is an essential life-saving skill. As a former lifeguard, I’ve performed more water rescues than I can count. I’ve witnessed how quickly and silently drowning can occur—often in under 30 seconds. It’s why I believe swimming is more critical than learning how to ride a bike.
As a mom to my own 5-year-old, I knew from the start that getting him in the water early wasn’t optional—it was a necessity. Teaching him to swim is one of the most important gifts I can give him.
Now, I’d love to share that gift with your family. If you’ll have me, I’d be honored to help your child grow confident, safe, and happy in the water.
